Academic information sessions provide a unique experience to learn more about your program of interest. From dynamic online events to experiential tours on campus, each session provides a program overview, highlights experiential learning opportunities, and explores the resources and facilities UNE has to offer.

Business

Biddeford Campus

Join our College of Business information session to learn about our undergraduate business majors, including Business Administration, Outdoor Business and Innovation, Sport and Recreation Management, Sustainability and Business, and Marine Entrepreneurship. John Austin, Ph.D., interim dean of the College of Business, will lead the session and highlight the exciting opportunities offered in the newly established College. You’ll hear about experiential learning opportunities that prepare our students for rewarding, enriching careers and leadership positions.

Dental Hygiene

Portland Campus

Our Dental Hygiene information session provides an overview of the coursework and academic pathways for Dental Hygiene majors. Program faculty will highlight examples of hands-on learning experiences, practice techniques, and how we prepare students to thrive in modern, team-based care. Your session will include a tour of our Dental Hygiene facilities, including our dental simulation lab.

Exercise and Sport Performance

Biddeford Campus

Our Department of Exercise and Sport Performance (ESP) offers programs in Athletic Training and Applied Exercise Science. This information session explores the differences between the two programs, as well as the coursework, research, internships, and interprofessional education at the center of both majors. You'll meet faculty from the ESP programs and tour the Harold Alfond Forum, where you'll experience what courses are like in our classrooms, labs, and athletics facilities.

Health Promotion Studies

Biddeford Campus

Whether you have a passion for public health, nutrition, social work, or occupational therapy, the UNE Department of Health Promotion Studies provides you with opportunities for hands-on learning with real-world applications in health disciplines that promote overall wellness. This interactive info session starts with a presentation about all four of the Department of Health Promotion Studies undergraduate majors. You'll hear how each of these programs prepares you for a foundation for advanced graduate-level study at UNE and beyond. You'll then be through an interprofessional team activity and case study, where you'll get to experience first-hand how our students learn — with an emphasis on the importance of whole-person wellness and in environments where students support each other in class and combined experiential learning activities.

Marine and Environmental Programs

Biddeford Campus

Whether you’re interested in Marine Sciences or Environmental Studies, our in-person and virtual information sessions provide an exciting introduction to the hands-on education you can expect in the field, on boats, in state-of-the-art laboratories, and at exciting internships. You’ll meet Charles Tilburg, Ph.D., director of the School of Marine and Environmental Programs, for a presentation and overview of our facilities and an extended tour of the Arthur P. Girard Marine Science Center.

Portland Campus

Join our School of Nursing and Population Health info session to discover more about our Nursing program and explore the coursework, simulation experiences, clinicals, and interprofessional education opportunities that UNE offers.
