Located on UNE's seaside Biddeford Campus, the Department of Chemistry and Physics offers a dynamic faculty and excellent facilities in which you learn and conduct research.

The Department offers the following majors and minors:


Our B.S. in Chemistry emphasizes the fundamental aspects of the discipline, including analytical chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physical chemistry. We offer a Chemistry minor as well.

Chemistry Minor

Our Chemistry minor prepares you for lab-based jobs and develops your deductive reasoning and analtical skills for real-world application. If you are majoring in another department, you may minor in Chemistry with the permission of the Chemistry and Physics Department chair.
