About SASC

The Student Academic Success Center's (SASC) professional staff are here to help you develop and maintain the skills you need to meet the challenges of undergraduate and graduate academic demands. Our syllabus provides further information about our objectives, learning outcomes, and policies. We assist in developing a learning and study plan based on your needs, and we will work with you to assess your progress and effectiveness in implementing practices.

In September of 2017 the SASC received a three-year certification as a Learning Center of Excellence (LCE) from the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA). The LCE certification program is endorsed by the Council of Learning Assistance and Developmental Education Associations (CLADEA), and is the only certification program that recognizes learning centers that have a demonstrated history of excellence and have effectively exceeded the professional standards and best practices in the field of learning assistance.

In 2018 the SASC was awarded a level three International TUTOR training Program Certification from the college Reading and Learning Association. The center has been CRLA certified continuously since 1993. CRLA certification provides recognition and positive reinforcement for tutors' successful work from an international organization and sets an internationally accepted standard of skills and training for tutors.
