The Office of Training in Research supports the ongoing education, training, and professional development of faculty, professional staff, and students involved with research and scholarly activity at the university.

Mission

The Office of Training in Research supports

  • Development and delivery of training programs that promote the adoption of the ethical and responsible conduct of research (RCR) and scholarship at UNE.
  • Orientation of new faculty and professional staff on policies, procedures, and resources associated with the conduct of research and scholarly activity at the university.
  • Students with respect to RCR-related concerns and questions.
  • Collaboration with faculty to integrate RCR topics into existing coursework and lab activities. 
  • Researchers with guidance on institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in RCR, research ethics, and compliance.
  • Work in partnership with the UNE research and scholarship community to identify educational needs and opportunities for improvement.
