Your initial award will be based on six (6) credits per semester. If this is different from the number of credits you plan to enroll in, please e-mail finaid@une.edu. Students in accelerated tracks and/or those taking more than 6 credits/semester may require funding beyond unsubsidized loan in the form of Graduate PLUS loan. This is a credit based loan, subject to lender approval.
Please note: Textbooks are a planned out-of pocket expense. Please plan accordingly to purchase your textbooks/materials. The refund check you receive is designed to reimburse you.
The UNE Financial Aid Office will be processing your Federal Stafford Loans after the add-drop period of your program has been completed each semester. The disbursement of those funds will arrive approximately two weeks after the start of each semester.
Please be advised that you will continue to receive billing statements from the UNE Student Accounts Office for any unpaid balance, until such time as your loan funds arrive and your account is paid in full.
