Now that you’ve been accepted to UNE, it’s time to start checking off a few important to-do’s before joining us next fall. Our New Nor’easters kickoff virtual event is the perfect place to start! Our admissions team will cover all of your next steps — from important deadlines to the latest on orientation, housing, and dining. You’ll also hear from current students on their top tips for first-year success.
Financial Aid: Your Award
January 27, 2021: 7–8 P.M. ET
Paying for college can be complex, but we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Join admissions and Student Financial Services to discuss important financial aid next steps. We’ll review what you need to know about your financial aid package, the deposit, and other deadlines. You’ll also learn more about work study, loans, and scholarships.
Housing: All About Residence Life
February 3, 2021: 7–8 P.M. ET
At UNE, our campus really does feel like a family. Join our admissions and residential life teams along with current students to learn what it means to be an integral part of our community. You’ll see what living in our first-year residence halls is really like — from roommate selections and packing lists to floor programming and events.

President Herbert leads a conversation about life at UNE today — how we’re navigating the pandemic and the shifts we’re making to ensure student success specifically for you and our incoming class next fall. He’s joined by Grace, a senior nursing major, and Scott Steinberg, vice president of admissions, as they discuss some of the major anxieties students and families face this year when making a college decision. They’ll talk hybrid and experiential learning, weighing the costs of higher education, and UNE’s unique position on those challenges.
First Year Experience: What to Expect

Join Chris Hunt, Ed.D., associate provost for Community, Equity, and Diversity, and current students for a lively conversation about our campus community, who we are and how we support inclusion and equity on campus at all levels — from resources and programs to fostering conversations that enhance open dialogue and discussion. You’ll hear about current initiatives and University commitments as well as the diverse events and student groups on campus. Bring your curiosity and your questions to learn more about our inclusive community.

Living on campus — especially for the first time — is a big deal, and we’re here to support you along the way. Join members of our admissions and residential life teams along with current students to learn about our new Living Learning Communities (LLCs) and Themed Living Communities (TLCs), fun events to do with others living on your floor and in your hall, plus tips on what you should (and shouldn't) bring your first year.
