Tuition calculations above are based on a per credit rate of $1,500.

Nurse Anesthesia Students are required to purchase equipment/instruments for the program. The Financial Aid Office allows $100 under the first year budget to purchase these items.

Books and Supplies

The costs will vary depending on the courses the student is taking. The Financial Aid Office uses $2,321 for the first year of the program, $450 for the second year of the program, and $200 for the third year of the program, as a standard allowance for student budget purposes. The student's actual expenses may vary.

Indirect Costs

Indirect costs are included in the student's financial aid budget. These are not direct charges from the university, but allowances that are given to cover expenses that the student may have while attending school (the allowances listed below cover the number of months the student is enrolled for each year of the program):

The living expense allowances are based on the following amounts per month, for the months enrolled:

  • Room and Board $1,350/month (rent, food, utilities)
  • Transportation $400/month
  • Personal/Misc. $250/month

Health Insurance

Students are required to enroll in UNE's Student Medical Insurance Plan unless proof of comparable insurance is demonstrated and waiver is completed online (2019-2020 Academic Year waiver/enrollment session is from July 1 through August 17, 2019). 

The cost for UNE's 2019–2020 annual health insurance policy for graduate/professional students (except first-year College of Osteopathic Medicine students) is $3,899 for the 9/01/2019–8/31/2020 coverage period. Due to a longer academic year, health insurance rates for first-year College of Osteopathic Medicine students is $4,224. Students whose program (MSNA, PA, MSOT) begins in Summer 2019 are charged $983 for the summer coverage period of 6/01/2019–8/31/2019, and then the annual coverage rate of $3,899. Students enrolled in the new PSM in Ocean Food Systems Program are charged $1,111 for summer coverage period of 5/20/2019–8/31/2019, and then the annual coverage rate, to be determined for the new academic year. Students should waive/enroll for the summer semester (beginning in April) and then re-enroll/waive for the following academic year, starting on July 1.
