The Sustainability Office engages various sectors of the university community to reimagine the way we do business and develop innovative and sustainable programs and strategies. From waste reduction to alternative transportation and sustainable landscaping to energy conservation, UNE's Sustainability Coordinator works to "green" university operations, in conjuction with the office's EcoRep students and the university's Environmental Council.

UNE community members can stay informed of ongoing activities, events and program updates by following the Sustainable UNE Facebook page and the UNE Eco Buzz blog. The Eco Buzz blog contains articles about the Edible Campus Initiative, mosquito control project, honey bee hives, electric car chargers, local food served on campus, Planetary Health Alliance and many more. Guest contributors are welcome.
