Sustainability and Business: UNE Student Internship at the Nonantum Resort
Meet Kate Lindmark (Sustainability and Business, ’23), who recently interned as a sustainability intern at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport. UNE's Sustainability and Business program gives students the interdisciplinary perspective to objectively view business as a tool for environmental and social good. Through a highly collaborative curriculum, students discover how to bring together environmental, social, and financial concepts as they work together to create a more sustainable world.

Rising inflation, political polarization, and economic disparity; the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and the war in Ukraine; and continued emergence of social justice issues. As society becomes increasingly chaotic and divided, UNE faculty, administration, and professional staff must answer the question, “How do we prepare students to succeed in a fractured society?”
That topic, with all its many challenges and creative solutions, is the focus of the brand new 2022 UNE Magazine. You'll also meet some of our marine science students, attend a climate-change conference, tour our newest building (in progress), and journey to Bangladesh — plus hockey, Homecoming, and more.
