Serving as a Preceptor

Serving as a preceptor provides a unique opportunity for you to give back to your profession. In taking on the role of teacher, mentor and coach, you can take pride in knowing that you are positively affecting a student’s life and career. Being a preceptor also provides you with an opportunity to connect with future pharmacists and colleagues.

Expectations of Preceptors

Preceptors serve as role models in the education of pharmacy students. As a preceptor, you qualify to participate in the experiential education program by meeting and adhering to standards set by the University of New England School of Pharmacy Advisory Committee. The School is responsible for orienting you prior to your assuming your responsibilities.
