What it means to be a Nor’easter
The University of New England is proud to have a vibrant, innovative, and supportive community. We value our hard working, diverse team of faculty and professional staff who live the UNE mission every day. While visiting any of our three campuses, you will be met by friendly colleagues who inspire and support each other, creating lifelong connections. We invite you to see how incredible being a part of the UNE team is and what it means to be a Nor’easter.
Situated on two beautiful campuses in Biddeford and Portland, Maine, we are committed to maintaining our strong and welcoming community. The people who work and study here are the core of our success, and our local connections run deep. We offer employee wellness and development programs, plus a benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement plan, leave time, and tuition benefits to promote the health and happiness of you and your family.

Donate to the American Red Cross
To help facilitate the process of connecting our employees directly to the American Red Cross and specific local, regional, or national disasters, we have created a UNE American Red Cross Donation website. Using the site, employees are able to quickly and efficiently choose how they want their money to work.
Other Community Resources
Disasters can strike anywhere and at any time. Whether you want to assist others or need to access resources for yourself, family, or friends, the Disaster Assistance Resources (PDF) helps connect people with service organizations.
Additionally, our EAP program also provides supportive services for anyone directly or indirectly impacted by a disaster (PDF) through the Disaster Resource Center. This online resource center is open to the public.
